Core Commitments

1. Gospel

At RMPC we are continually rediscovering the vast treasure that is the gospel.  The good news of Jesus Christ is the means by which we come to know God as well as our desire to worship Him.  We continually learn  that Jesus Christ can change anyone. The Gospel is both the means through which we begin the Christian life and the means through which we continue to grow.

Jesus Christ is the heart of this good news.  We discover that we are more sinful and flawed than we can ever imagine, but at the same time, we are more loved and accepted in Christ than we ever dared hope.  As our substitute He took upon the punishment for all our sin, reconciling us to God.  This knowledge is transformational!

2. Worship

The worship of God is the mainspring of the believer’s life and the primary mission of the church!   Through worship we are transformed as our hearts and minds are fixed on the overwhelming greatness of our God.  In the church declaring God’s glory among the nations, more people become worshippers of Jesus Christ as the skeptical and curious come to understand the reason they were created.

3. Prayer

Jesus said, ‘without me you can do nothing’ (John 15:5).  Prayer is the foundation of the Christian ministry, connecting our helplessness to Gods resources.   It is prayer that ignites our faith in the infinite God.  For more about our prayer ministry please click here.

4. The Bible is God’s Word

The Word is not given to merely inform us, but is given to transform our lives.  Since God has entrusted to us the Holy Scriptures we are intentional about faithfully teaching, preaching, and communicating the inerrant message of the Bible.

5. People

We value all people because they are created in the image of God. The church not only welcomes all peoples, but is also intentional in bringing hope and good news to all peoples. To the extent we are able, we provide for their needs, offering help, assistance, and the gospel in the name of Jesus Christ.

6. Outreach

We are called to go into all the world making known the good news of Jesus Christ, and this going is expressed in pursuing people where we live as well as throughout the world. The church exists not only for the redeemed, but the church also exists for the world. We embrace this calling and mission with thanksgiving and enthusiasm.

7. Service

At RMPC people are committed to service, and the use of their spiritual gifts.  The spiritual gifts of Christians are to be discovered, developed, enjoyed, and deployed in the work of the ministry for the service of the kingdom.

8. Children

Christ’s church is not only a hospital for sinners, but also a nursery to nurture children in the faith.   We are intentional about sowing seeds of the gospel in children in the church and outside the church through ministry work, and equipping parents to live out the gospel at home.  For more information on our ministry, please click here.
