Rev. Jim Talarico -Teaching Elder/Senior Pastor

Jim is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has experienced a wide range of ministries and callings from working in the steel mills, to a Port Missionary in Savannah Georgia, to planting churches. Graduating from Geneva College in 1980 and Westminster Seminary in California in 1991, Jim has served on the MNA Committee in Presbytery as well as the Western Regional Church Planting Network.  His passion for church planting and seeing people’s lives transformed by the gospel resulted in the establishment of Rocky Mountain Presbyterian Church in 2000.  Jim and his wife Kelly enjoy their family of five adult children and eight grandchildren.  They also enjoy traveling and their community. Jim is an avid skier, racketball player and is captain of one of the church softball teams.

Rev. Dan Breed – Pastor of Community Development/Assistant Pastor

Dan has been the Assistant Pastor at RMPC since 2007. He is a graduate of The George Washington University in Washington D.C. with a degree in political science and a graduate from Denver Seminary with a Masters in Divinity. Before Dan and his wife Erin moved to Colorado, Dan worked as a speech writer and campaign manager for two separate U.S. Congressmen from his hometown of Madison, Wisconsin. Dan and Erin have been married since 2001 and have three children, Ellie, Morgan, and Caroline. Both Dan and Erin love connecting people to the church family and are known to invite people over to their home to have milkshakes and get beaten at the best board-game created, Settlers-of-Catan. In addition Dan loves triathlons, playing volleyball, and reading about the Civil War.

Joe Allen – Ruling Elder

Joe is originally from Detroit, Michigan, and attended the University of Michigan with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  Joe and his wife Michelle lived in Rochester, Minnesota for 6 years, and moved to the Denver area in 2005.  Joe works as a Product Line Manager for an integrated circuit design company.  Joe and Michelle now have four children and live in Broomfield.   Ever since they led a community group together in college, they have been passionate about the study of God’s Word, and now coordinate the Community Group ministry at RMPC.  Joe enjoys running, biking, hiking, skiing, and playing thrilling games of soccer in the backyard with his family.

Carl Kennedy – Ruling Elder

A follower of Christ since 1967, Carl is passionate about being involved in ministry.  He is honored to have been a Teacher, Youth Leader, Superintendent of Christian Education, Board Member, Treasurer, Finance Manager for Campus Ministries, and now Elder.  Carl and Marsha were married in 1973 and are richly blessed with two daughters and sons-in-law and four grandchildren.  He is originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, but he and Marsha have also lived in Rochester, NY, Buffalo, Detroit, and Toronto.  Carl’s interests include theology, economics, and politics.  (His favorite initials are WSJ and NPR.)  He is a Finance graduate of the University of Alabama and is currently a Controller in the Denver area. He and Marsha are happy to have made RMPC their church home where Carl also serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee.

Bill Porter - Ruling Elder
Bill and Sheila moved to Colorado from Virginia during the summer 2008 and soon began worshipping at Rocky Mountain.  He is a civil engineer from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) and is employed in Boulder at the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON).  Bill has been an elder in the PCA (and before that, in the RPCES) for over 30 years.  He loves the Word, the Lord, and the church.  Over the years, he has served on several church plant temporary sessions, presbytery committees, and General Assembly committees.  Bill and Sheila have two children and two grandchildren (and one on the way).

Ed Seiler – Ruling Elder

Ed has been an ordained Ruling Elder in the PCA for close to 19 years and has been a member of RMPC for 5 years now. He has worked in healthcare for 30 year and is currently the Senior Director of Colorado Community Homecare & Hospice.  Ed and Sandra Seiler have been married for 29 years and have 4 boys.  Their oldest son is married and in the Air Force based in Belgium, with the other three in college here in Colorado. Born and raised in Denver, Ed loves to follow the Rockies, Broncos and the CSU Rams.

Jon Touryan – Ruling Elder

Jon is originally from Evergreen, Colorado, returning to the state in 2008 from New Haven, Connecticut. He works as a staff neuroscience researcher for SAIC, having obtained his graduate degree from UC Berkeley. Jon and his wife Sharon have served together in various church and para-church organizations, and since joining RMPC Jon has particularly enjoyed leading one of the church’s community groups. In his spare time, Jon enjoys in-line hockey, watching movies, and making up crazy games for his children.

 

Breanna Flager- Director of Children’s Ministry

Breanna is originally from southern California and came to the Denver area two years ago. She attended Biola University in La Mirada, CA and received a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, and is close to completing a master’s degree in elementary education at Regis University. She started attending RMPC in April 2008 and it was here that she met her husband Jonathan. They live in Broomfield with their daughter Alyse and dog Chloe and enjoy cooking, hiking, entertaining, traveling, and watching movies.

Greg Upton – Director of Music

Greg is a veteran singer/songwriter from LA who joined our church back in April of ’07. By May, he was leading the music department at RMPC.  Greg has helped maintain RMPC’s diverse mix of contemporary and traditional music styles. Greg lives in Arvada with his wife Krista, and two sons, Cade and Cash.

Bethany Prentice – Church Secretary

Bethany began working at RMPC in July of 2011. She and her family moved to the Westminster area in 2008. Bethany enjoys spending time with her husband, Daniel, and her three kiddos, Heidi, Benjamin, and Jonathan. She loves music, theater, movies, historical fiction and peanut butter.
